In the early morning hours of August 23, 2022, the life of 32-year-old Marco Deangelo Sawyer of Capitol Heights, Maryland, was tragically cut short. Patrol officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were dispatched to the 4000 block of Silver Hill Road in Suitland at approximately 4:40 a.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered Sawyer unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
