On a late summer evening in Suitland, Maryland, the lives of two young men were brought to a tragic and abrupt end. On September 2, 2021, 32-year-old Michael Rodney Jackson Jr., a male, was found deceased inside his apartment on Suitland Road. The discovery was made by patrol officers who were responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:30 p.m.
Upon entering the residence, authorities found not one, but two victims. Alongside Michael Rodney Jackson Jr.
was his 24-year-old roommate, Kevin Ikard. Both men had sustained apparent gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation into the double homicide sought to determine a motive and identify any potential suspects responsible for the violent act that had unfolded within the apartment walls.
The investigation soon focused on a person of interest who was close to one of the victims. Charles Dominique Williams, who was 28 years old at the time, was identified as a suspect in the killings. It was revealed that Williams was Michael Rodney Jackson Jr.'s cousin and had been staying at the apartment with the two roommates. Following their investigation, the Prince George's County Police Department arrested Charles Dominique Williams.
