The incident occurred in Suitland, Maryland, where police responded to a report of a shooting in the early hours of the morning. Upon arrival at the 4400 block of Rena Road, officers discovered Anthony Thomas III inside an SUV, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
