In the quiet community of Horatio, South Carolina, the life of 25-year-old Joseph Letrez Brooks was tragically cut short in early December of 2008. A male resident of the area, Brooks was discovered deceased in his home on Richbow Road, a place he had grown up in and shared with his brother. The grim discovery was made by his family on December 4th, leaving a community largely unaccustomed to such violent crime in a state of shock and grief.
