On a cold January evening in Lancaster, South Carolina, the life of 23-year-old Jenika Jaraya Jones, a Black mother of three, was tragically cut short. On January 19, 2012, while at her home on Roseanna Lane, three men attempted to rob her. In the course of the crime, Jones was shot and killed.
