Mary Martin, aged 81, passed away on December 9, 2013, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her death was a tragic event that involved a murder-suicide. Mary Martin was a former chairwoman of the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and was suffering from Alzheimer’s disease at the time of her death.
