On a spring afternoon in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the tranquility of a quiet neighborhood was shattered by an act of shocking violence. Barbara Wood Smith Lesslie, a 69-year-old woman, was at her home with her husband, Dr. Robert Lesslie, and two of their grandchildren on April 7, 2021, when a former NFL player, Phillip Adams, forced his way into their residence.
