In the quiet neighborhood of Fern Creek in Louisville, Kentucky, the summer night of June 24, 2015, was shattered by a single act of violence that claimed the life of 19-year-old Damon Martin. A Black male, Martin was discovered lying in the middle of Oak Creek Lane, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
