In the late morning of September 29, 2014, a disturbance at the Killian Lakes Apartments in Columbia, South Carolina, escalated into a fatal shooting. The victim was identified as 27-year-old Tremaine A. Seals, a male resident of West Columbia. The incident began with a dispute in one of the apartment buildings, which led to a chase that ended in the parking lot of another building within the complex. It was there that Seals was shot multiple times in the upper body.
