On November 29, 2023, 48-year-old Christopher Charles Shirah was fatally shot while delivering pizza to the Tamarind at StoneBridge Apartments on Stoneridge Drive in Columbia, South Carolina. Responding to reports of a shooting around 11 p.m., Columbia Police Department officers found Shirah unresponsive; he was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical services.
