In a tragic turn of events on Sunday, March 25, 2018, 30-year-old Cory Cornelius Jenkins, a male resident of Columbia, South Carolina, was fatally shot. The incident unfolded shortly after 9:00 p.m. inside a home on Samson Circle in North Columbia. When Columbia Police Department officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Jenkins unresponsive. The Richland County Coroner later confirmed that he died from complications of gunshot wounds to his upper body.
