On October 16, 2015, 55-year-old August DiChiara was fatally shot in Louisville, Kentucky. The incident took place on Northwestern Parkway in the city's Portland neighborhood. DiChiara was one of two victims in this shooting, the other being 28-year-old Jessica Shadowens. A third individual was also injured but survived.
