In the summer of 2022, concern grew for a 37-year-old Black male named David Lamont Floyd from Louisville, Kentucky. Described as being in frequent contact with his family, his sudden silence was uncharacteristic and alarming. He was last seen on June 29, 2022, near a homeless camp in the vicinity of Shelby and Wenzel Streets. As weeks turned into months with no word, his family's desperation to locate him intensified.
