In the summer of 2015, a tragedy unfolded in the Fern Creek neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, forever altering the lives of two families. On the evening of July 30th, 16-year-old Desean Mitchell, a male who was about to enter his junior year at Southern High School, was fatally shot.
