Roderick Dewayne Jones Jr., affectionately known as "Junior," was a 15-year-old from Opelousas, Louisiana. On June 27, 2023, he was found with gunshot wounds at North City Park in Opelousas. Despite being transported to Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette, he was later declared brain dead. In a final act of generosity, his family chose to donate his organs, offering others a chance at life.
