Lance Lynell Myers, a 25-year-old resident of Rembert, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on December 1, 2014. The incident occurred late in the afternoon, around 4:45 p.m., when shots were reported near Miller Road, just a block north of Broad Street. Upon arrival, officers found Myers on the ground beside a Sumter School District maintenance building along Shop Road, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body.
