The Black male was shot and killed on Saturday, October 18, 2025, following a heated argument that turned into a physical altercation.
The Sumter County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies were called to a residence on Louis Circle around 3:44 p.m.
where they discovered China deceased from multiple gunshot wounds. Witnesses at the scene informed investigators that China and an acquaintance, 38-year-old Quinshaun Dais, were engaged in a verbal disagreement that quickly became a physical fight. During the struggle, Dais allegedly produced a firearm and shot China several times.
Authorities arrested Dais at the scene and charged him with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was subsequently booked into the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center to await a bond hearing.
