Duwud Fletcher, a 37-year-old resident of Ridgeland, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on June 14, 2015. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. on Oak Hill Road in Ridgeland. According to reports, Fletcher was involved in an altercation with Rashad Battiste at a residence. The confrontation escalated, leading Battiste to shoot Fletcher multiple times before fleeing the scene. Fletcher's death was a result of these gunshot wounds.
