Madison Leslie Leavitt, a 24-year-old resident of Gaston, South Carolina, tragically lost her life on November 7, 2015. The incident occurred in the Gaston area of Lexington County, where Leavitt was fatally shot while riding in the rear seat of a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The events leading to her death began when James Richard Elledge Jr., a 27-year-old man from Lexington County, fired a 9mm handgun eleven times at the vehicle as it was leaving his residence on Crossfield Road.
