On a tragic autumn morning in Gaston, South Carolina, the lives of two sisters were cut short in an act of violence. On November 15, 2021, 25-year-old Jazzmyne Green and her 20-year-old sister, Jaimey Green, were found dead from gunshot wounds in the 200 block of Woodcote Drive. A concerned neighbor had alerted authorities after hearing gunfire in the Heather Hill subdivision at approximately 9:15 a.m.
When first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered the two women outside of a residence.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly identified a suspect, 27-year-old Tyrone Durham Jr. However, the search for him came to a somber end later that same day. Durham was discovered deceased in his vehicle in neighboring Richland County. Authorities determined that he had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
