Annette Riley, a 44-year-old mother of three from Gaston, South Carolina, was tragically killed on October 11, 2017. The incident occurred in her front yard, where she was shot multiple times by Chesnee Labri Mattress, a 25-year-old woman who was a friend of Riley's daughter. The events leading up to the shooting involved an argument between Mattress and one of Riley's family members. Following the altercation, Mattress fired several shots into a crowd of people, ultimately striking Riley.
