Zaire Janyi Franklin, a 25-year-old resident of Columbia, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on August 5, 2016. Franklin's death occurred under violent circumstances, leading to a significant investigation and subsequent legal proceedings. On the evening of August 5, 2016, deputies from the Richland County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of gunfire near 113 Timber Court. Upon arrival, they found Franklin unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
