Najeer Raborn Buggs, a 14-year-old from Columbia, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on July 3, 2015. Najeer, affectionately known as "Doodie" or "Juice," was shot and killed while walking with his cousin on Grand Street after playing basketball at the Lorick Park gym. A car approached the teens, and shots were fired from the vehicle. Both Najeer and his cousin attempted to flee, but Najeer was struck by a bullet in the upper body and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
