In the fall of 2016, the life of 32-year-old Yusuf Ali Abdus-Salaam came to a violent end in Lancaster, South Carolina. On the evening of Tuesday, October 11, officers were called to the 300 block of Hampton Road shortly before 7:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered Abdus-Salaam gravely wounded by multiple gunshots. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries a short time later.
