Ezra Chavez, a one-year-old child from West Columbia, South Carolina, tragically died on January 1, 2017, in what has been identified as a murder-suicide. The incident also claimed the lives of his mother, Marissa Hope Reynoso, 26, his four-year-old brother, Elijah Chavez, and his father, Jorge Luis Chavez, 25. The bodies were discovered inside their home on Old Barnwell Road, all with apparent gunshot wounds.
