In the late summer of 2016, the community of West Columbia, South Carolina, was rocked by the violent death of Michael Andy McMillan, a 30-year-old Black/African American man. On the morning of August 18th, a concerned resident on Double Branch Road contacted authorities about a suspicious vehicle that had been parked for an unusually long time in front of a vacant house.
