On a Wednesday evening in Sumter, South Carolina, the life of 31-year-old Brandon Antwan Cummings was cut short. On May 17, 2017, just before 9:30 p.m., Cummings was found shot outside of the Quality Inn on Broad Street. Emergency services were called to the scene, and he was quickly transported to Palmetto Health Tuomey, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
