Knowledge Sumpter, a 17-year-old from North Charleston, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on July 20, 2017. His body was discovered the following morning in a yard along Harvey Avenue. The Charleston County Coroner's Office determined that Sumpter died from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred late on the night of July 20, and police were called to the scene just before 10 p.m. in response to reports of gunshots.
