In the late summer of 2017, the community of Dillon, South Carolina, was rocked by the violent and untimely death of Anthony Barney Dickerson Jr. A 40-year-old male, Dickerson became a victim of gun violence on Saturday, August 5, 2017. His life was abruptly ended in a fatal shooting, a fact later confirmed by the county coroner.
