In the late spring of 2023, the community of Dillon, South Carolina, was shaken by a brazen act of violence that claimed the life of a local man. Tylon McCall, a 32-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the Dillon Food Mart located on Highway 34 West. The incident cut short the life of a man who was known to many in the area and left a family to grapple with a sudden and tragic loss.
