In the fall of 2017, the life of an 11-year-old girl from Hampton, South Carolina, came to a tragic end. Toni Lynn Rivers, a sixth-grade student at Hampton Elementary School known for her vibrant personality and love of the outdoors, passed away on October 27, 2017. Her death was the culmination of what her family described as relentless bullying.
