In the spring of 2018, the life of 27-year-old Samantha Cox was cut tragically short in what authorities have described as a domestic shooting. On the evening of May 2nd, police were called to the Flintlake Apartments in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, where they discovered a grim scene. Inside her residence, Samantha was found deceased.
Responding officers also found her 31-year-old husband, Brian Cox, with life-threatening injuries.
He was transported to Grand Strand Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his wounds. The Horry County Coroner's Office confirmed the identities of the deceased couple, who were originally from Indiana.
The Horry County Police Department investigated the deaths and quickly announced that they were treating it as a domestic incident. Crucially, they also stated that they were not searching for any suspects in connection with the shootings.
