In the summer of 2018, the quiet community of Gaston, South Carolina, was unsettled by a violent death. On the afternoon of July 10th, deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to a home on Woodtrail Drive following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered the body of 46-year-old Norman Cherry Jr. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
