Barry Joe Chavis Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Gaston, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on March 27, 2020. Barry was a certified small engine mechanic known for his expertise with dirt bikes and four-wheelers. His untimely death occurred in his front yard after a confrontation with Christopher David Shumpert and a codefendant. The altercation stemmed from a dispute over a small amount of money.
