Brian Garris, a 52-year-old resident of Gaston, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on September 18, 2022. According to reports, Garris was shot and killed by his 71-year-old stepfather, Carl Sims, following a dispute over the borrowing of Sims' vehicle. The incident occurred in the 100 block of Landfill Lane, where both men lived adjacent to each other.
