Do you know who murdered William Reichle? In the early morning hours of October 15, 2017, William 'Bill' Reichle, a 52-year-old white male, was senselessly murdered in Louisville, Kentucky. A dedicated pizza delivery driver for Annie's Pizza, Reichle was known for his kind and helpful nature. After finishing his shift, he had stopped at a Marathon gas station on Cane Run Road to assist a co-worker with her tires.
It was during this act of kindness that his life was tragically cut short.
Two men approached Reichle and attempted to rob him at gunpoint. Despite his compliance and having no money to give, he was shot. His nephew, who was with him at the time, managed to drive them a short distance to Popular View Drive before Reichle succumbed to his injuries. The community and his loved ones were left in shock and grief, remembering a man who was always willing to lend a hand.
In the wake of the shooting, the Louisville Metro Police Department launched an investigation into the homicide. His co-workers at Annie's Pizza organized efforts to raise money for a reward fund, hoping to encourage someone to come forward with information that would lead to an arrest.
