On a Saturday night in Louisville, Kentucky, the lives of two young men were tragically cut short. Twenty-year-old T'ylan Whetstone and his friend, 19-year-old Amear Clay, were found inside a crashed vehicle on April 2, 2022, in the St. Denis neighborhood. Both men had been fatally shot in the back of the head.
The investigation into the double homicide continued for months. Eventually, a suspect was identified and apprehended.
On July 13, 2022, 21-year-old Terral White was arrested in Pinellas County, Florida. He was subsequently charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of Whetstone and Clay.
According to law enforcement, surveillance footage played a crucial role in the investigation. Video evidence reportedly showed White armed with a gun outside his apartment before the shootings. Further footage captured him getting into the vehicle with the victims. After the vehicle crashed, White was allegedly the only individual seen fleeing the scene. Following his arrest, White was held at Louisville Metro Corrections on a $500,000 bond after a plea of not guilty was entered on his behalf.
