Nyquan Jamel Samuels, a 19-year-old from Sumter, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on May 30, 2019. The incident occurred in the 500 block of South Lafayette Drive, where police responded to reports of a shooting around 2 PM. Upon arrival, officers found Samuels with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. Despite efforts to save him, Samuels succumbed to his injuries.
