In the summer of 2019, the life of 19-year-old Eric Canty was tragically cut short in Bennettsville, South Carolina. On June 20th, Canty was shot on Sunny Bank Street. He was quickly transported to Scotland Memorial Hospital in Laurinburg, but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

The Bennettsville Police Department, with the assistance of the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division promptly began an investigation into the shooting. Their efforts led to the swift arrest of a suspect, D ...
