In the early morning hours of Sunday, January 24, 2021, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of Ellison Street in Bennettsville, South Carolina, leaving a family and community to grapple with a sudden and tragic loss. It was around 5 a.m. when the Marlboro County Sheriff's Office received a call about a person being shot.
