Amir Omarion Brewer-Samuel, a 16-year-old from Spartanburg, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on August 10, 2019, due to a gunshot wound. The incident occurred at the Whispering Pines Apartments on Abner Road around 11:45 p.m. on August 9, 2019. According to reports, Amir was found by a resident who initially thought he was having a seizure, only to later realize he had been shot in the back. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Amir succumbed to his injuries the following day.
