Sedrick Covington, an 18-year-old from Bennettsville, was tragically found shot to death in his car on October 14, 2019, in Cheraw, South Carolina. The incident occurred around 9:59 p.m. on Smithville Church Road, where Covington was discovered in the driver's seat of his vehicle with a fatal gunshot wound. The Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office immediately launched an investigation into the murder, identifying Shyheem Loranzo Ingram, a 22-year-old from Cheraw, as the primary suspect.
