Decorian Curry, a 17-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, was fatally shot in a drive-by shooting on May 25, 2019, while sitting on a porch with friends in the Shawnee neighborhood. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the intersection of 42nd Street and Larkwood Avenue. A white car drove by, and individuals inside opened fire, hitting Curry with a stray bullet. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he later died from his injuries.
