In the early morning hours of Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020, the life of 15-year-old Mikell McKelvey was tragically cut short in Charleston, South Carolina. A sophomore and promising football player at West Ashley High School, the young Black male was discovered shot to death inside the Palmilla Apartments on West Ashley River Road.
