On a cold Christmas Eve in Washington, D.C., a tragic event unfolded that would leave a lasting mark on the community. Alem Habteymer, a 57-year-old man, was fatally shot on December 24, 2014. The incident occurred at approximately 9:55 p.m. in the 2600 block of Sherman Avenue, Northwest.
