Althego Glenn, a 37-year-old male, tragically lost his life on a Saturday evening in Columbia, South Carolina. On May 15, 2021, Glenn was fatally wounded in a shooting that occurred outside the Colony Apartments on Bailey Street. Another man was also injured during the incident but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening.
The Columbia Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert around 6 p.m. and discovered the two victims.
Investigators believe the shooting was not a random act of violence. Following an investigation, police identified 42-year-old Eric Norris as the primary suspect in the case. It is believed that an argument between Norris and the two victims escalated, leading to the deadly shooting.
A few days after the incident, on May 26, 2021, Eric Norris surrendered to the Columbia Police Department. He was subsequently arrested and faced a series of serious charges, including murder, attempted murder, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
