In the quiet hours of an early Sunday morning in Spartanburg, South Carolina, the life of 17-year-old Elijah Norvel James Briggs was tragically cut short. On July 11, 2021, the teenager was found behind a bus stop near Stewart Park, suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. Emergency services rushed him to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, but his injuries proved fatal.
