Demetrius Nigerian Wood, a 22-year-old resident of Gaffney, South Carolina, tragically lost his life on the night of May 1, 2022. According to reports, Wood was fatally shot while standing outside a residence on General Drive in Gaffney around 10 p.m. The Cherokee County Coroner's Office confirmed that Wood was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled to further investigate the cause of death.
