In the early morning hours of August 9, 2022, a dispute on Cleveland Avenue in Anderson, South Carolina, tragically escalated, cutting short the life of 32-year-old Channing Chester. A resident of Lexington, South Carolina, Chester was visiting Anderson at the time of the fatal encounter. An argument involving several individuals broke out around 2:30 a.m., culminating in a shooting that left Chester with multiple gunshot wounds.
