Prison Guard Ephriam Allison, aged 69, tragically lost his life on November 24, 1905, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Allison, who had served with the Missouri Department of Corrections for 16 years, was killed during an escape attempt by inmates at the Missouri State Penitentiary. The inmates had managed to smuggle four revolvers, ammunition, and explosives into the prison, which they used in their escape attempt.
